In the not too distant future, mankind learns that the Earth is a sentient being. They also come to understand that the Earth views humans as cancerous and threatens its continued existence. To protect itself, the planet creates beings called the Agaro to destroy and replace humanity. In the years following their initial onslaught, Doctor June Lavolier created a floating city called Skytropolis that acts as a protective fortress and an ark in the event of an extinction level situation. However, mankind has champions! Doctor Lavolier's children, Malcolm and Nefertiti, along with her nephew, Dante, are the defenders of humanity's last bastion. They are the hope for tomorrow, the glimmering light amidst the bleak darkness! They are The Paladins of Skytropolis!
